Now, I am usually the paragon of change and progress and adapting to new versions of software and hardware (I defended Win8's Start Screen for crying out loud), but mucking with my computer's logical drives and then making that new drive just have a shortcut to a folder on one of my actual physical drives? It's painful. Even worse than that, it's a shortcut that requires opening another shortcut inside of it to actually get to your files.
However, if you're using File Mirroring, and just have your own personal Drive with no Shared Drives, then it's a big, useless shortcut. I see how this feature is useful if you are using File Stream (although even then it should really be presented as a network drive, not a local drive), and might be somewhat useful for users with access to Shared Drives.
